Search tips
Our search engine (Webglimpse) supports boolean queries and wildcards. Words separated by spaces are treated as a phrase. The words AND, OR and NOT can be used. To treat words separately, use OR as the separator. The "#" character can be used for wildcard matching. When these more complex searches are used the results page will not always show the words highlighted.
Example of boolean queries
"tree AND leaf" will match documents containing both the words "tree" and "leaf" anywhere in the document.
"tree AND leaf AND NOT trunk" will match documents containing the words "tree" and "leaf" and not the word "trunk".
"tree OR leaf" will match documents containing the words "tree" or "leaf" anywhere in the document.
Example of wildcard #
"lang#" will match "language" and "languages" but not "slang" or "clangs"
"#lang#" will match all the patterns - "languages","language","slang","clangs".
"www.#.com" will match patterns like www.anything.com. |
