Treatment Options in Early Prostate Cancer is a short film for men who may just have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is also intended for those family members or friends who become involved in the decision-making process concerning treatment.
A brief introduction provides some general information about prostate cancer. The film then follows a number of men and, in some instances, their partners, through their journey in the process of deciding on the right treatment option for them. It explains the various alternatives on which minds will need to be made up. The treatment options discussed are watchful waiting, radiotherapy, brachytherapy and radical prostatectomy.
Those interviewed give clear guidance on what to expect from different treatments and how satisfied they are with their decision.
